the final game of the season, TMG Youth beat the ‘senior’ team 4-3 with
goals from Danny, Franco (2) and Matt. 27/4/03 TMG
beat Worthing United with a few different players playing for both teams.
4-2 was the scoreline in Kev’s memorial match, with goals from Jack, Ricky,
Darren and an own goal. A great afternoon’s football enjoyed by many
watching from the stands. 25/4/03 TMG
put in a champions performance to beat Wittering 5-1 with goals from Jake,
Farhad, Franco, Josh and an own goal, claimed by Flacky after his 18-yd
shot was tremendously saved. 24/4/03 Wittering
game moved to Friday (tomorrow), 6 kick off. Medals will be presented at
this game. On the 27th is Kevin Bushby’s annual memorial match,
and TMG are taking part. 17/4/03 Just been found out that Wittering
beat Worthing United last Sunday 6-1!!! Meaning that TMG are definatly
champs!!! 10/4/03 A
total farce, losing 2-1 to Chichester City United Youth, with the ref
having no control over the game at all. Goals from Farhad and Danny should
have left TMG in it, but Danny apparently pushed the keeper, without
touching him! The boy has magical powers! 6/4/03 Championes!!!
We beat the Climping 2-0, then drew 1-1 wit goals from Matt (2), AND Josh 30/3/03 Despite
a bumpy pitch, TMG manage to beat Worthing United 3-1 with a hatrick from
Josh. 23/3/03 TMG
win 6-1 against Worthing Rebels with goals from Franco (3), Jack, Matt and
Dennis. 16/3/03 Another double header, another 3
pts. The first game TMG beat Chichester 2-0 with goals from Josh and
Franco, however in the second the 12-men of Chichester (ref) overcame a 10
man TMG after Dennis was sent off for abusive language. 1-0 in the second
game leaves TMG with 34 pts in the league. 9/3/03 In a double header against
Rustington Otters A, the games were both drawn 2-2. Although some bits of
play were well worked, TMG played poorly and goals from Rick and Jake, then
Dennis and Franco got 2 pts where we should have got 6. 23/2/03 In a double header, where skipper
Jake was missing, TMG beat Bognor B 3-0, then drew 1-1. In the first game,
goals from Josh (2) and Matt, and in the second Dennis equalized. 16/2/03 TMG
beat Rustington Otters B 16-0 with goals from Josh (4), Matt (4), Dennis
(3), Franco (2), Jake, Chris and Sean. The next couple of games are crucial
if TMG are to go on and win the league. 2/2/03 In
the quarterfinals of the county cup, TMG were finally beaten 4-2 by Horsham
YMCA, currently flying high in the A League. TMG matched Horsham stride for
stride and goals from Franco and Sean were well taken. TMG can now
concentrate on the league with no cup competitions to focus on. 29/1/03 In
the 4th round of the county cup, TMG played superbly in strong
winds to beat Lindfield 2-1. Goals from Franco (2) were decisive in the tie
and now TMG play Horsham YMCA on Sunday in the ¼ finals, the only Worthing
team left in the competition! 26/1/03 No game for a month and a half, and
3 key players with Achilles injuries didn’t help as Climping overcame TMG
after penalties. 4-4 aet, Climping scored all 4 penalties whereas TMG could
only score 2. In normal time, Franco got 2, Josh and Matt also scored. The
penalties were scored by Matt and Josh, however Franco and Jack didn’t. 8/12/02 TMG
beat Avisford in the league 11-1 with goals from Franco (6), Matt (2),
Chris, Ricky and Jack. 24/11/02 TMG
progress in the county cup with a good 3-2 win against East Grinstead Town
Youth. 3/11/02 The
first of the doubles, as TMG beat Barnham 5-1, a scoreline that is the same
when we played away. Goals from Franco (3), Josh and Sean put the Trojans
away. 27/10/02 No
games for TMG for 3 weeks but that didn’t stop them registering a 5-0 easy
victory over Hollingbury Hawks. Goals from Jack (2), Matt, Rick and Josh
sealed the game which was played under severe winds, making good football
hard to play. 13/10/02 A
walkover for TMG as Rustington B couldn’t get a team. TMG now top and clear
by 4 pts, however Rustington Otters A have a game in hand, so they could
close the gap to 1 point… Rustington Otters Youth B may pull out the league
as they aren’t doing too good and don’t seem to have enough players. 6/10/02 A great peformance as TMG beat
Barnham 5-1. Another hatrick from Franco and 2 from Josh sealed the win. 29/9/02 Drew
1-1 against Worthing United, with much controversy… 22/9/02 Another
win, another clean sheet!!! 7-0 overpowering the rebels!!! Another hatrick
for Franco and ones for Matt, Rick, Dennis and Flacks… 15/9/02 TMG add to
their goal tally with a 6-0 win over Avisford, with goals from Italian
Stallion (3), Josh and Twiney. O.G scored again as well. (He keeps cropping
up…) Rustington
Park Youth have withdrawn from the league, now there are 11 teams in the
league. 8/9/02 TMG
get off to a winning start, beating Wittering Blacks 6-3 with goals from
Josh (2), Franco (2), Ricky and Matt. 5/9/02 In
a friendly game, TMG lose 2-1 to Thistle with a goal from Ricky Kay… 21/8/02 There
will be 16 players signed up for this season, only Sean has to give another
photo and Harry to sign on completely. A week on Sunday we will be playing
Thistle in a ‘friendly’. The first 4 league games are up, Wittering first,
then Avisford then Rebels, then United. 21/7/02 Training
only on Wednesdays, same place same time. 25/6/02 Training
starts again, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6pm for an hour at Beach House
Park.
